Top Group Dining Choices in Park City, Utah
Park City, Utah is known not only for its world class ski scene, but its dining scene as well! Many restaurants in downtown Park City are critically acclaimed, making it impossible to get a reservation in the winter. There is, however, a big difference between which restaurants are perfect for a date night or dinner with friends versus a corporate group dining experience. My personal Main Street Park City favorites are not necessarily where I’d send a large group as an event planner. There are a number of reasons why certain restaurants work for groups better than others. These reasons could be square footage, layout, menu style, service style, ADA accessibility, time slots available, and more. Below we break down our top 5 Main Street restaurants we recommend to corporate clients for group dining as a corporate event planning company:
1. Pinecone Ridge | Pinecone Ridge is the newest concept from Bill White Restaurants, a restaurant group that has been serving both leisure guests and corporate groups alike for decades in Park City, Utah. Pinecone Ridge offers traditional American food that is familiar, yet appealing to many corporate travelers. The restaurant boasts a dedicated bar area, as well as a Main Dining Room with an open floorplan. There are options to break up the space with a smaller dining room just off the entrance. With several different floorplan options and an approachable menu, Pinecone Ridge stands out as a sure bet when it comes to corporate group dining in Park City.
2. Riverhorse | Riverhorse has long been known as Park City’s #1 restaurant. Chef Seth Adams brings New American fare to life at Riverhorse, adding unique twists to familiar dishes. The space has several spaces that can be utilized for group dining: the large Atrium, Chef’s Room, Covered Patio, Bar, and Private Dining Room offer spaces for groups ranging from 20-300 guests. Riverhorse is known for their impeccable service, which is another reason why it is a tried and true space for corporate groups.
3. Kimball Terrace | While Kimball Terrace is not exactly a restaurant, it is operated by Utah’s Best of State caterer, Culinary Crafts, who brings their operational expertise, along with their incredible culinary talents, to this unique event space. Located in the heart of historic downtown Park City, Kimball Terrace has an open floor plan and could be considered a blank slate with its minimalist design. Therefore, corporate groups can transform this space into whatever suits their fancy as far as event theme and event design. Kimball Terrace sits in a new building so offers ADA accessible elevators, which is a rarity in Old Town Park City.
4. Chimayo | When looking for unique dining options, corporate clients can count on Chimayo to surprise and delight their guests. Chimayo offers a southwestern menu that is unique among many of Park City’s New American-influenced restaurants. Chimayo is another member of the Bill White Restaurant Group portfolio, known for its incredible food and service. Their longstanding presence in Park City has led to the restaurant group being an well-oiled machine, offering tiered menus at different price points and thoughtful recommendations of what menus will work best to achieve optimum service for large groups.
5. High West Distillery | High West Distillery has officially become a must-see and must-do experience in Park City, Utah. Its downtown location on Park Avenue is comprised of 2 buildings offering unique experiences: the Saloon is a historic home with several private dining spaces, and the Livery is an old garage with an open floor plan. While their largest space can accommodate only 100 guests, their outdoor patio adds additional square footage to accommodate a much larger headcount. High West offers a quintessential Western experience, casual, but reliable menu, and of course their award-winning whiskeys. A trip to Park City is not complete without a visit to High West, which makes it an essential addition to our list of Park City’s top restaurants for corporate groups.
